Not to hijack this thread, but two questions:
1. Could you keep your stock 17" or 18" tires with a 4" lift to preserve MPG?
2. If you keep your stock tires, would it look OK? Not sure if I have ever seen that on here.

My stock are 32s (4x4) and I've been told they'd look small. But I've read a lot of people run 4" with 33s so I don't think it would look too terrible. Definitely small but not too bad.

You wont preserve anything if you bump up the tire size... Change to a M/T ect... M/T's are heavy

There was a white KR with oem tires/ 35" nittos/ and a 4" lift... Looked pretty good to me..

No. What I was saying is that I DIDN'T want to bump up my tire size. My truck is my DD and I drive 100 miles a day.

Leave it stock.. No need to lift or level.. It would serve no purpose for you..

Unless you really like the look and are prepared to accept the ensuing costs. Or if you do enough spare time offroading to justify it to yourself

I currently have a 6" procomp and 35's. I do not get great mileage with mine however i do not have good gears for the tires. My truck currently does not even have 3.55's in it so i have basically freeway flyers trying to push 35's. I will be re gearing to 4.56 soon
other than that I absolutely love the look of my truck. I wouldn't go any other way

I would have to go crawl back under the truck and see. You would have to do the same or you could grab the last 8 of your vin and call your dealer. If they are still stock the dealer should tell you

The added weight of the lift coupled with the vehicle's new stance and higher profile is not the only cause for loss of MPG. A big part (probably bigger part) is the weight of the new taller and wider MT tires. Some weigh close to twice the weight per tire. Adding 160 pounds of rubber or metal attached to the axles is far more stress than having your buddy sitting in the passenger seat.

Now after all that if you meant actually wheels or rims since you said 17s or 18s. Yes you can keep your wheels after you lift it. Lots of people do.
