Whats the best spark plug and coil pack to use?
I have currently just replaced my cam phasors and map sensor in my truck about 800 miles ago and its running great. looking to do new plugs, boots, and coil packs before my wife and I head to the beach at the end of the month. Im a huge believer in Motorcraft parts and 9 times out of 10 thats what i go with. but for the price of new motorcraft coil packs im leaning towards aftermarket. can anyone give me some options and opinions on good quality spark plugs and coil packs? Ill probably go with the same spark plugs (Motorcraft sp515) unless I need to "upgrade" them. Thanks in advance! I have a 2005 FX4 with the 5.4 3 valve

I bought the truck three months ago so im not 100% sure on how many miles are on the cop's because im not sure if they were all replaced at the same time. he said two were recently and that he also did the spark plugs too. But im not always for taking the other guys advice because he may of just been trying to talk it up so id buy it. Id rather get it all done now and know its done. im just replacing everything getting ready for the long haul. but i have 171,xxx on the motor. I payed 4,300 for the truck with a check engine light on and a 22$ cam positioning sensor fixed it.

Thanks for the info , not what my wallet was wanting to hear although I do agree. Was hoping there was something else that would at least me worth of recognition.

Go with Motorcraft plugs for sure but I have read where people have had good luck and bad luck on aftermarket coil packs. I believe it is the luck of the draw sort of speak when it comes to the coil packs. I took a chance on a plugs/coil packs package off amazon for $155. I couldn't afford the motorcraft coil packs with all the other parts I needed to replace. Time will tell if they hold up.

I've been using a $40 Chinese set of coils for three years and haven't had one issue.
