I'm looking at power window kits for my truck but have heard bad things about the universal ones not having enough power. Right now I'm looking at electric life or carid kits, has anyone had any luck with either?

I did it a few years ago on my stx. Just buy OEM regulators and wire them up yourself. I got the regulators from tasca and bought a switch kit from a1 electric. Search the forum. I think I posted stuff on it a while ago.

The guy I bought my truck from converted the manual windows to power windows and the motors SUCK!! They take forever to roll up and on occasions it gets halfway yup and jus stops, so you have to roll it down a little and kinda pull it up with your hand because they are so weak they need help. It is nice not having to reach over the the passenger side and manually roll the window down but dang these things struggle. I would like to put a while new kit in. If you do this and get good results please let me know what you did so I can do something different. Thanks

Like I said, I've already done it. Buy OEM regulators and wire them up yourself. It's very easy. They bolt right in place of your manual ones.
