Power Steering
has anyone else had issues with their power steering leaking? it's a fairly small leak, and we tried some of that stop leak.
We're gonna take a good look at it this weekend and see if we can find where it's coming from, we were just wondering if anyone else had issues with it or if anyone knew of any recall on the power steering for the '06.
thanks in advance for your help.

maybe you pulled a hose loose from the power steering pump cooler, its next to the radiator, im not sure of the fitting on the hoses, i know they would be under high pressure so i doubt it would be easy to pull one loose, but its a thought

on my 08 i had a small leak and it ended up bein alot worse than just a leak... they never told me exactly what it was (under warrenty).... but i know they put a new power steering pump and rack and pinion...

Stop Leak? in a P.S. pump?
I can't imagine the particals in stop leak being any good for the pump.
Or being any good at stoping any leak other that in a radiator.
Just my opinion, but I would drain the system and get some new fluid in it ASAP!

That might be O.K.
I was thinking of radiator stop leak. one type has aluminum filings in it and the other has little particles that are designed to get stuck in a radiator pin-hole.
If it was the type that swells the seals, i've seen that type over-react and turn the seals (and hoses) into sotf goo........
I would really like to see you remove the stop leak (of any kind) and fix it right.

Yes we used the Power Steering Stop Leak.
Thanks Gator for the TSB info, however, I live in Georiga.... we're lucky to see temperatures below freezing.
