Default Power mirrors, Power seat, Power pedal actuator

Problem on 06 150 S crews and Kings, mirrors will fold but will not adjust, drivers seat will not move, pedal adjust will not work, I am posting so others may find and fix their problems in the future as I think lots of trucks will have this problem as they age, and the wires start to corrode though.

I found the following 2 fixes on ford truck enthusiast forum, can not wait to go home and look for wire. Hope this works for you, Mark R.

Have the same problem on my 2005 F150. Dealer wanted more money than I had just to look at it. I found full set of repair manuals on ebay for $65 and repair the problem in about 2 hours.

The control power for the driver power seat, memory switch, adjustable pedals and minors all are on 5Amp fuse #3. The power circuit is orange with a light green stripe and is spliced just below the fuse box. At that splice joint the wires were broken, it looked as acid was in the wires splice. Cutout the bad part of the wires, spliced in a piece of wire and all worked.

Just remove the trim over the fuse panel. Peel the tape warp off the wiring and you will the wires. It is only 18gauge and the splice is right where the wires turn at the floorboard.

Hope this help.

Glen

Other quote I found, thanks for the reply. found the trouble. module under seat non op. had power to the module.
if module fails, all things go through module.

Default bad splice, easy fix

I removed the trim covers around fuse block and the tape from around harness just above floor, found splice of orange wires with stripes on rear of harness, one wire splits to two wire. Disconnect the Battery before proceeding. I cut open the fabric splice which looked perfect on the outside, but I found the inside of splice was a pocket of green dust from the corrosion of the copper wires and what ever was used to join them together. My find made me very happy, I cut out the whole splice and soldered in a new 3 inch wire, all works fine now, happy days.

Thanks for posting this, I had the problem described, found the bad splice and fixed it... all within 30 minutes. I'm not sure how much you saved me, but I am thinking the dealer would have milked this one for a while.

Thank You.

Wow! Thanks for the great info. I never would have found this if not for this forum. How many other splices in these trucks use this same method?

I couldn't locate the spliced wire.

In the 1st picture I'm holding the orange wire with lite green and in the second I'm showing that I followed it toward the back of the truck and couldn't find the splice.

My driver seat goes up and down but not forward.

Any ideas?

Thumbs up Fixed my issue

Thanks guys for all the tips on how to fix my issue with the drivers seat, power pedals, and drivers power mirror not working. If was able to finally find the splice, repair it and get it working again.!!
