Unhappy

Recently my 2006 Ford F150 xlt 5.4 started having problems with the instrument panel. What it does is at any given point in time, especially while turning the steering wheel in either direction a short distance, the instrument panel will sound a beeping sound and all the instrument panel warning lights go on and remain on. At the same time, the speed/tach ometers drop to zero. This stays on for several minutes until a bump is hit. Then it goes back on however, the compass blanks out and has remained that way since. This happens intermittenly every time we use the truck.
I forgot to mention that while the instrument panel lights are on and the speed/tach ometer is at zero, the air conditioner does not work. Once the lights go back off and the speed/tech ometer starts working again, the air conditioner works again.
If I disconnect and reconnect the battery, everything is reset, including the compass/temp/mileage display.
I had a diagnostic scan done with a scan tool at autozone and it produced a trouble code. The OBDII code given is P0462 which translate to: FUEL LEVEL SENSOR LOW VOLTAGE
Any suggestions???
