Default Post repair starting problem

Hey everyone,

I just got my flywheel replaced about two weeks ago. Now, 3 times it has happened, when I start my truck, it does everything right, but it doesn't start, it just gives up. Any ideas why?

Can you describe what happens a little better? It is hard to help you only knowing that your truck won't start.

I turned the key, and it doesn't grind, it sounds like it is starting, but when it gets the the point where it should have started, it doesn't, the engine just stops working and it goes right back to being off

Okay so what I am getting from this is that the engine is cranking, but not firing.. Now when you said when it should have started but it stops working are you not keeping the key in the crank position or are you letting it stop cranking?

Does it seem like it is cranking slowly? When this happens can you go under neath and hit the starter with a hammer? (Don't wail on it but give it a good tap)

mine definetly is not auto crank either. my Dad's 2010 lariat screw and his 2011 xlt scab do but my 04 xlt screw does not.
