Default possible performance mods

im considering doing majority performance mods to my 06' 4.6 f150 but im not sure. im thinking a air intake, throttle body w/ spacer. MAF sensor, an edge programmer with headers "unsure on brand" and a true dual magnaflow exhaust single side dual exit before the tires. and on the tips, painting them jet black with high temp paint "just as a personal style modification"

First I would skip the spacer, a waste of money! Why do you want to change the TB?
Long tube headers, exhaust pipes no larger than 2.5", straight thru muffler. Don't eliminate the cats.
Skip the edge and go with a programmer that can hold custom tunes. Sct or Gryphon.
Don't do the CAI until you do the headers.
Get your custom tune when you do those mods.
Check the factory gears (ratio).
(real gains will come via forced induction, but that comes at a cost!)
Good luck, happy wrenching!

Intake: Air Force One, AIRAID, K&N( I like the K&N 57-2556)

Headers: Dynatech 122-6221000s

Exhaust: Magnaflow 16616

Programmer: SCT X3 w/Troyer custom tunes

You dont' need a throttle body, TBS or MAF. Consider e-fans and a under-pulley.

Cold Air Intake. Saw has really laid it out for you. I would look at the S&B or the Airaid. Something with an enclosed filter box, and does not move the MAF a great distance from the air filter. I received my e fan controller, now on to the fans, and the tuner.

What Sawman and 08f150stx said. The tb may give you 5hp if that at top end. $300 is a lot for 5hp at 5000rpm. The spacers are a joke. They do nothing! Get custom tunes to go with your mods to the intake and exhaust. Efans will free up 15-20hp and you will have COLD ac in the summer. I love em!

Also the stock throttle body is as large as the intake manifold it bolts to, the BBK 80mm TB is bigger than the opening in the manifold and will make a whistle noise. I know because I have it, I ended up "gasket matching" it so the whistle goes away but the manifold still funnels down to 75mm, which does increase the air velocity but reduces pressure. Probably not worth the $300 I got mine really cheap so was worth it to me
