Default Possible Brake Rotor Issue on '07 Supercrew

Time for new brakes on my '07 Supercrew, got all the parts together and tore it apart and took the rotors up to be turned. Rotors looked good after they were done but I did notice that one of the front rotors came back with a small oblong hole about 1/8 of an inch in diameter on the machined surface. They did have a good deal of rust scale on the inside surfaces but this does not look like it rusted through. It looks more like a void from when it was cast. I've never seen this before and was wondering if anyone else here had and will this rotor be okay to use like this or should it be replaced ?

I'd run it and keep an eye on it. Most likely gonna eat up your brake pad over a long period of time. Also might cause that rotor to warp

Some manufacturers use that as a wear indicator. Although I've mainly seen it on European cars. When the rotor surface becomes flush with that divot, they're worn out and need to be replaced.

When they turned the rotors they should have measured them to make sure their within specs.

It won’t hurt it as long as your rotors are still within specs like snowboard said.

Thanks for the help guys. I did not think it would make a difference but it never hurts to ask. The guy that turned them for me is a good friend and I did call him on it and he told me pretty much the same thing. He said the rotors were still in spec after turning and that the hole looked more like a void in the casting than a rust issue and he has seen this happen before.
