Popping noise from steering

Popping noise from steering
I recently put a 6" rough country lift on my 2007 f150. Had no problems for a few weeks, and now I have a popping noise coming from the steering. It doesn't happen all the time, usually just once when I put it in reverse and turn sharp. I have checked all the bolts for tightness like I'm supposed to. I spoke with someone yesterday that said it could be a steering bearing. Has anyone had this issue, and how did you fix it? Thanks.

Well. I've had all kinds of problems with my steering. It was popping when Id turn I got the whole rack and pinion replaced for a brand new one. Then it did it again about six months later. It was stripping out the worm gear in the rack. I got it replaced a second time. (So far okay) but my steering still pops sometimes and front end has random pops all the time. I wonder if the rough country lift is doing it?

I had lots of noises coming from mine shortly after I installed it. I spent a lot of time checking every nut and bolt that I touched when I put in on, and each time I'd fine 1 more that was a little loose. After a few months of chasing noises, they all went away, 1 bolt at a time. Noise free for quite some time now. Check the alignment bolts on the lower a-arm if you haven't done that yet.
