I've got a large rubber washer, a curved plate, a thin rubber washer, and a thin metal plate, then the nut, which I assume all goes below the bulb holder somehow. But with the amount I've taken off (almost all the raised portion on the back of the bowl) it doesn't all fit below the bulb holder.

Edit: Realized I have the right order but the large washer and curved plate go on the front side of the reflector... Hoping I haven't screwed myself by cutting too much material. I'm going to go back with a high temp epoxy to solidify the projectors in place after mounting them so that should keep me from having an issue of insufficient material. Hopefully.
I don't have any pictures I should have thought about taking some. When I sanded down behind the reflector bowl I sanded it down pretty close to the curved part of the bowl. I only used the small rubber washer between the projector and the bowl and the nut to secure it down.

Haha. Sorry. I forgot you were waiting for trimming pictures. The first two have all the necessary trimming. I made a notch at the bottom for the solenoid wires to pass through. Figured that'd hide the wires better than drilling a hole big enough for the connector to pass through. Last picture is the first one I trimmed when I had the order wrong so I cut more than necessary. All you need is a dremel with a cutoff wheel, and cut that inner ring off. Gotta get close to the bowl.

All trimming is done, just need to clean them up

Ah, I see... thanks!!

So, in other retrofits, the bowl was cut ALOT so the shroud sits pretty much on the reflector bowl. How sturdy is the projector only held by the nut?

One of the guys earlier was saying the same thing I think...

Do you know if you would have to trim the same amount with the mini h1 from TRS?

I did a similar retrofit before with morimoto MH1s and you would be surprised how sturdy mounting this way is. It held up in my wife mustang for over a year no bouncing or alignment issues.

problem is once you get that nut on there and the assembly mounted, you are not getting that nut off because the metal used is so malleable. I think that's the point though. I removed them from her mustang to sell it and had to trash the bowls since I had to cut them out. all other parts remain on standby for future retrofit though.

They look identical to me so I would assume yes as third party.

I don't personally know as this is my first time working with projectors. Sorry.

Default Poor Man's Retrofit (Picture Heavy)

Alright so update on my stickers. They'll be done this weekend, the guy was out of dark blue and wouldn't get any in until spring break next week. I don't want to wait that long due to impatience and wanting free space back in the living room of my apartment. I told him white would be perfect, so I'll be picking them up hopefully Sunday. I'll lay some clear on them shortly after that, and get everything mounted up.
