Poll: leveling kit or 6 inch lift, need opinions

glad you decided on the lift. if you leveled it you'll always be thinking about a lift and wanting to go bigger. trust me i'm stuck in that stage now.
as for the tires, 33's won't look bad for time being but you'll want 35's in the long run. imo, lifted trucks look kinda weird when the tires underneath aren't meaty enough. trimming shouldn't be bad with 35's, i have a friend with just a 6" lift and he's on 37s, he could easily clear 35s

I've had a leveling kit and a 6" lift. It's like adding a supercharger and running 6lbs of boost. You'll be bored with it in a month and want more.
33's with the lift don't look horrible, they just look a little small. I ran my 33's until they were bare enough to justify buying 35's.
My 35's rubbed a little. I dunno what the big deal is about trimming. I got my dremel out with some cut-off attachments and got busy cutting a little at a time out of the bottom inside wheel well. It's plastic and thin metal. And I did it with one hand since my right hand is busted up. Not a big deal in my opinion.
Here's my douchy truck with 33's and then 35's.

Depends on what the backspacing of the wheels is. I have a Pro Comp lift, and you have to run a wheel with a max. of 4.5" backspacing. Otherwise the wheels won't even bolt up because they'll hit the new knuckle.
BTW... doing the lift yourself isn't difficult. It's just time consuming. This is assuming you have the tools to get it done. It'll sure save you some $$$ and then you know it wasn't done half ***.
