Will do. UPS got it to me by 930am today, we'll work on it later.

From what I understand, both plugs that broke off were the very back 2. On one, the whole porcelain is still in there and the nut is just turning, so we'll have to hopefully pull it out first before using the Lisle. On the other, the porcelain broke so we'll have to first use "the pusher", to ram down the porcelain into the base.

I did rig up a vacuum with some rubber vacuum line to suck out the cylinder in case anything drops in it.

This is a sorry situation that Ford should hang their heads over. I work across from the World Headquarters in Dearborn and see the type of engineers they hire and from what countries they come from. Some of these dudes cannot even speak english, and have zero common sense. So such a stupid common sense issue such as this doesn't surprise me.

By the way, I have 52k on the truck which is an 04 Lariet, and other then this plug issue I love the truck, have had zero problems with anything. I just put on new Bilsteins which I just love, and replaced the front pads with ceramic pads, but did have to buy new rotors. I did also get new tires and replaced them with the same Wranglers.

Well the Lisle tool got them out, and I guess you can say relatively easy.
Here's a few tips.

When you use the "puller" and you tapping into the stuck piece, make sure you get enough turns into the piece before starting the extraction.

Then take a real good look at the end, then look at it some more, then one more time. Make sure everything came out and nothing dropped in the cylinder.
One of the plug right at the very end, the porcelain had chipped on one side and was gone.

We had rigged up a vacuum cleaner with clear tubing, then had some small enough diameter rubber tubing attached to the very end to stick into the cylinder. As my son vacuumed I watched intently for the piece to shoot up the clear tubing. Sure enough I seen it go by. I sure hope that was it anyway. It runs great so far except I had a "check charging system" warning come on the warning system and the little red battery lit up.

We did have the negative cable disconnected, and the PCM unplugged and taken off to get to the plugs, so I'm not sure what's up. I drove about 15 miles and got home. So we'll see.

One other update.....The charging system issue and the little red battery symbol being lit up was noting more then missing a connection in that was tucked under the top radiator hose out of the way.

I missed it last night but seen it this morning in much better light.

Anyone want to buy the Lisle tool?...lol
