A/C has mind of its own
This has been going on for a while but is progressively getting worse. My A/C turns on and off all by itself! I mean, with the switch at 12 O'clock, in the off position, the A/C will randomly start blowing. If my fan switch is on #4, the A/C will blow at max speed. Conversely, the A/C will just randomly turn off when I have it on. Anyone ever hear of this issue? I used the search feature but didn't find this same issue...

Is it the fan motor that comes on .. or the actual A/C light comes on by it self.. there is a known issue with the blower motor .. fixed by replacing the blower motor resistor...

It's both. I'll research the known issue to see if that's what is going on with my truck. Thank you
EDIT: I had the issue with the motor only blowing in high speed several years ago and replaced the resistor behind the glove box. This issue is completely different in that *when the blower is working, I have full control of the speed. If I happen to leave the blower in high speed but the A/C switched to "off", the A/C (and blower) will sometimes kick on by itself and will be in high speed. I can adjust the speed up and down, but can't always turn it off. It's very random, but increasingly common.
