yeah x2 on the plugs. if your truck has anywhere over about a 100k, you might want to consider that.. just follow some of the instructions on here and get ready to spend a couple of hours lol

i would still lean towards the plugs even though you only have 49K.

ive heard of it doing it with plugs even at that low of a mileage. is it throwing any codes?

thanx for yor response... when all this first started that was my first thought. i tried to take #5 plug out and the metal case of the plug stayed in the block. stopped and asked a man at the dealership and he told me that was a common problem with this year truck and i could either buy the tool or pay them to do it and they had just charged a man 700$ to do his. i just wana get it runnin right so i can get rid of this problem

well.......if you didnt get that metal casing out and replace the plug entirely i would def say thats your problem. get the lisle tool and do it yourself. and do the other 7 while your at it. then you will have a good running truck.

right. i understand you replaced the Coil packs ( COP's ) but the plug that was broken, did it get replaced? if not it needs to be cuz that right there is where your problem is. and if your getting misfires on 2 cylinders, i would strongly reccommend replacing all the plugs at once.

I bet its NOT your coil packs but rather your fuel injector for cylinder 5. Mine did the same crap last year. Ford has a recall on them, and they replaced the plugs under the warrenty as well. The injectors have a extended warranty on them.
