Yes it would but I would probably remove it first. That would be a pain to do on the truck, I think...

If you're going to go through that much trouble I would just paint it with real paint.

I HIGHLY reccomend NOT using a heat gun on your black plastics!! I too have seen the videos and so I tried it myself. It looked great for 2 months. The problem? the black plastic has a UV protection layer on it. when you heat up the plastic, the layer melts. This caused the plastic to melt black again but without any UV protection causing the black to look worse than it ever has to begin with.

I plsatidipped my cowl, turned out amazing. But that was before I heard about using Krylon Fusion black for our plastics.......

I think your job came out great. I really like the hood treatment. Gives you an added layer of protection against stone chips. Actually if you get I chip you can just touch it up again.
