Plastidip exhaust

Can you use plastidip to stop a rusting exhaust?

Mines rusting and rotting near the muffler so I was wonder if I could spray that to prevent anymore damage

If it's actually "rotting" I say it's time for a new exhaust. I don't think plastidip would fair very well on the exhaust since it's basically rubber.

Ive only ever done the tips of my exhaust. Didn't hold up well after a 5 hour drive hauling 7500lbs. Exhaust gas was a bit too hot and cooked 5 coats of dip right off.
