Excellent jobs Big iv, bill2014, FireInspector 42, they look awesome.

So fireinspector, do you have glossifier on yours?

Thanks for the help guys, I might give this a shot this weekend if I can find cans locally.

My buddy did his FJ's wheels in plasti-dip. He only put on 3 light coats per wheel and they've been holding up great for months now. They look awesome, and its cheap and easy to do. I plasti-dipped all the black plastic on my truck and it looks amazing, is holding up well and I love the fact that I can peel it off and easily touch it up

Yes I put two coats on, the more coats the glossier it gets

Great work on your projects. The pix have sold me on the product. Wondered how durable the Plasti-Dip is if used on rusted metal. Not, totally rusted, just normal rusty edges on wheels or, more specifically, my ATV trailer. Setting behind my F-150, it catches a lot of stuff, even with the trucks 'mud flaps'.

Do you prime with anything like the rust 'arrester' compounds & then PlasticDip? Or, do you just power wash, rubbing alcOH, & spray? Anyone done the fender wells?

Will the glossifier increase the durability? This stuff seems easier (and LIGHTER-weight) than the spray on bedliner I originally planned to use.

Finally, does the plastic adhere reliably to bondo or other repair materials? A cap on a cross-member is pitted & may need to be reconstructed if I can't find another one.
Any experience based recommendations?
Thx Motor safely.

the good thing with plastidip is there is no priminig required. just wipe down the surface with windex and make sure its clean then start spraying.
I havent done my wheels yet but I did my bumper cause chrome sucks
just wiped it down and used 1 whole can on the front bumper. Nice and think so rocks dont break through it
