Plasti dip wheels
#82
I spray them with a pressure washer, but normally I always wash my truck at home and literally just use my car wash soapy water and I put a scrub brush to them, they hold up a lot better than you would think.

There are several ISSUES to be concerned about when applying the plasti-dip in this manner...spraying everything that is.
1. When you go to rotate your tires your plasti-dip with have scrape marks on them which will then reveal chrome on a semi all black wheel.
2. When you go to remove the center cap you will have to be extra careful not to scratch the clear coat or it too will reveal chrome. More plasti-dip need then.
3. If you off road or live in a state that puts gravel on the roads during winter....well you will get pit marks of chrome where a piece of gravel has penetrated the plasti-dip.
4. Don't get curb rash or you will be redoing the wheel again.
I did this on my SUV and ended up peeling it all of because the upkeep was a hassle. The badges, door handles, and rear chrome door handle were plasti-dipped and had no issues for 2 years. Just the bumper and rims always needed touch up!
