Plasti dip vs Bed liner
Within the next week or so I am going to get the inside of the bed sprayed with rhino liner or something similar. My question is my running boards (chrome tube/black top) are fading on the top black part. I was wondering if you guys think it would be better to go ahead and spray them with the rhino liner at the same time or do those with plasti dip when I eventually get the other parts of the truck with it (door handles, mirrors, valance, etc)?
Any suggestions/insight would be helpful.
Thanks!

Never used plastidip but have seen it peel easily when used in areas that get contacted and rubbed like a step would and such. Bed liner is by far the better choice if you have the money to do so.,

It depends on how you want your truck to look. If you like the rugged off road look, get it rhino lined, it will look good. If you like the clean look i would say take the black part off and either get new plastic or paint the plastic and give the chrome a good cleaning.
i have the black plastic running boards and over time they have faded as well, i bought the restore black stuff. I do not remember the brand but i bought a few different ones and applied that about once a week for a month and now apply it about every other month and it stays black. Now, im a pretty large guy, 6'5" so there is no need for me to use the running boards. If you use them I would be advised, the restore black stuff is extremely slippery

That's what I was thinking but wanted to be sure. The guy doing the bed liner is a friend of mine so hopefully I can have him do that while he's at it. Thanks guys!
