hey everybody, im thinking about plasti-dipping my factory rims on a 07 lariat. im wanting to see if some people will post some pics of their factory rims plasti-dipped. what kind of designs can i try?

Im in to see the same. I plasti-dipped my bumpers last weekend. Thinking about my wheels next. Would love to see some examples

Plasti dipping rims is a terrible idea.i did it to my rims (not factory) and the first trip I made to the mud bog and then the coin op car wash.it was already starting to peel.and it's a pain in the rear end to take plasti dip off rims.

What'd you use to take the dip off? Or did you just monotonously peel it off little by little?

I did mine on my KR when i bought it. Its not a bad idea just make sure you use allot of coats. here a pic of mine

these are my stock 17's I decided to do a bit of a design just to break it up. just taped off the silver areas and plasti dipped them. this is only one coat cuz I did it as a test design. I like it tho so I am going to peel it off and do it right so it will last me a while

I was thinking about doing the same kind of pattern on my 20's as they are looking kind of rough. Any issues removing the tape without buggering up the dip?

Dutton16 And 98F150. . . Those Look Awesome. I Was Wanting To Try It Like 98's And Have The Factory Color Along With The Black, But Mine Is The Lariat 18's. . and alright i might just do that to mine and tape some stuff off. how many coats should i do? i have been told no more than 5? And How Many cans Would I Need?

Also..98f150. . . . does your truck have a 3" leveling kit? i got that coming for my truck as welll want it to sit up an inch higher in the front
