Plasti Dip good or bad?
Hello Friends,
My 06 SCAB has some faded plastics from the intense Colorado sun. I would like to revive them. Has anybody used Plasti-Dip for this purpose? What was your experience? Thanks!

I've seen how good plasti dipped rims and bumpers can turn out, i think it's a popular method now to restore faded surfaces. I've yet to try it myself, so for the time being i watch this so i have an idea how to do it. Hope it helps.

If you don't mind doing some monthy "detailing" to your truck, there are good products out nthere that can restore the plastics on your vehicle to like new condition.

Plasti dip is great on wheels and if prepped correctly will last quite a long time. It works on faded plastics too but not nearly as well. I sprayed my bed caps with plasti dip and they lasted about 3-4 months. Then they started peeling like crazy......

It works... IF... and I'll stress the IF.... You do it RIGHT... watch a lot of Dipyourcar videos and follow their directions exactly... do not cut corners. I've had my wheels done all winter, I live in RI, and its been a very bad one up here. The wheels have held up beautifully. The plastic wheel trim.. not so much. but Those were my first attempt. I'm going to do them again. The best part about the stuff is, if you screw it up, or it gets ripped, it peels right off and you're only down a few bucks. I would go for it...
