Default Plans for lifting my truck...

my plans to lift my truck are as followed: add at least a 2.5" front leveling kit, maybe 3". i like trucks with a lot of rake. in addition to the leveling kit, a 3" body lift kit will be added.

from what i've read autospring makes a pretty decent leveling kit, which i've found on ebay for $70 w/free shipping ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT ). i think that's a pretty good deal.

i haven't read many thing about any good body lift kits, but i did find this one on ebay for $420+35 for shipping ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT ). can anybody advose my of a good body lift kit for a good price?

also, if anyone has done the same or similar lift to this one can you please post some pics?

Body lift will cost you around 1000 dollars before it's all said and done. Perhaps more, unless you can do the install yourself. You can get the Autospring leveling kit for 70(install yourself if you can) if not labor on that is around 130-150.

you have any problems installing the performance accessories kit? did you need any additional parts? also, how different is the ride since putting on the 3" lift with a leveling kit?

i wouldn't put a 3" leveler, 2.5" max. what tires are you gonna run? are you installing your lifts?

2" leveler and 3 body 35's on 20's 4x4

The body lift was pretty easy to do. I did it all myself except putting the new bed bolts in. The pa kit had all I needed in it. The ride with a body lift is the same as stock but just a lil more top heavy

ride is almost the same, they are quite labor intensive. i have heard shops quoting 1000 bucks for an installed body lift, that's insane! if you can spin a wrench, it's still too much for a body lift IMO...i would look for a used lift, i could have just picked up a used fabtech for 800 bones..a 2" leveler and 3" body is just as big as a 6" suspension...it's an option i guess, but not a good one IMO, but to each his own.
