My moms got a 350 Z .. it started out with a pinky nail size chip out of it , same repair method but about a year later it seems like it had just popped out and its back to the chip? have you had this happen or heard of this happening? Also would that work for an actual crack, the crack WAS about 4 inches in the lower right corner of the front windshield now.. its spreading and is about 3 times the size now in about a month, Do you think were gonna need to replace the whole windshield?

Most tint guys use the outside of the window as a gauge to cut by. I've seen it done for years. Now unless the window looks scratched along the top, bottom it MAY have been done by the tint shop. Anything else I highly doubt it. I had a scratch on the outside of my wife's 2007 Accord and it was only a month old when it was tinted. I had hand washed it several times in that month prior to the tint job and NEVER saw the scratch. Tint will bring things like the out like a neon light! It may have been possible the window was scratched already??? Then again, maybe it got scratched by the tint shop. I'd call him for sure and at least bring it to light.

On the price you paid...wow!!! I paid 160 for 20% tint on my wife's four door Honda, including windshield strip. I paid 100 for my ex. cab F-150. That was sort of a high price...
