Then locate the switch on the side of the transmission; attach to it. When it doesn't work, PM me, then we will attach the wire to the positive reverse light "trigger" wire.

According to my 2004 through 2006 Haynes repair manual (2007 and 2008 would be the same), the reverse lamp uses a green/yellow wire off of the "transmission range switch". When the gear selector is placed in reverse, this green/yellow wire connects to a black/pink wire which feeds 12 volts to the reverse lamps. The other end of the bulb has a black wire to ground.

Find either the green wire with a yellow stripe, or black wire with a yellow stripe, and connect your camera lead to one of these. I'll guess that the green wire with a yellow stripe will be under the drivers side front door floor trim piece.

Im adding a rear view camera, same problem. I have a 05 f150. I looked behind the kick panel on the drivers side. I could'nt find that wire? Guess I will tone out from the rear and see if I can trace the wire down. Which loom/connector is that wire in? Thanks -Mike

Everything works great. I love it. The wires that you are looking for are also in the door seal well under the plastic piece were the carpet meets the door. Its next to the drivers side seat. Good luck
