the camera already has its own power supply- i just need a trigger to tell the stereo to change to back up mode. it does not matter if its hot or a ground it just needs to change when the back up lights come on. from + to - or - to + thanks for the help.

Then locate the switch on the side of the transmission; attach to it. When it doesn't work, PM me, then we will attach the wire to the positive reverse light "trigger" wire.

Find either the green wire with a yellow stripe, or black wire with a yellow stripe, and connect your camera lead to one of these. I'll guess that the green wire with a yellow stripe will be under the drivers side front door floor trim piece.

Im adding a rear view camera, same problem. I have a 05 f150. I looked behind the kick panel on the drivers side. I could'nt find that wire? Guess I will tone out from the rear and see if I can trace the wire down. Which loom/connector is that wire in? Thanks -Mike

eacdabnow I ordered the new avic-z110bt a couple of weeks ago apparently my audio shop is having a problem getting one in ,but anyways just wondering how you like your system so far? how is the back up camera? I'm souped to get mine I feel like a expecting father without knowing the due date lol

Everything works great. I love it. The wires that you are looking for are also in the door seal well under the plastic piece were the carpet meets the door. Its next to the drivers side seat. Good luck
