why a bypass switch???
I jumped 2 wires at the radio plug and that was it.took all of 5 minites.

They have a forum section with tips,tricks and hacks to all models of pioneer head units.ALTHOUGH..snce yours is not the same as mine the hack might be different..but I would check first before buying anything.I punched in AVH..your model..and it came back with over 500 items listed in their forum.I did click on this one that shows your unit being installed in a audi..and they DO mention a toggle for the bypass..so I might be wrong and it cant be hardwired like mine..but mine also listed the toggle switch..but after doing further investigating I found the hard wire hack.

The point of the relay on the newer pioneer's is that the unit will check to see if the parking wire is already grounded, not allowing you to watch video. Some people just install a switch and toggle it everytime they want to watch a video. I think the switch is tacky and a hassle, spend about $4 more and never have to toggle anything with a relay. The relay allows the parking brake wire to not be grounded when the unit checks, then the remote wire from the unit turns on the relay, letting the parking brake wire ground. I don't have any switch to mount or hide, just the ability to watch videos whenever I want with a clean look. The relay goes behind the dash next to the wire harness.
