Default pinion angle adjustment blocks.....?

Has anyone done this to their truck? I was talking to a guy at work and he was telling me about taking my lift blocks out of the back of my truck and put a block that angles the rear axle so that the the drive shaft doesn't work as hard and the is easier on the u joints and all that.
I want to do it and it all sounds like it makes sense. I was just wondering if anyone has done this yet???

I am lifting my truck this winter. And was wondering the same as you. Is this what these shims are for?

Yes, if your kit doesnt come with angled blocks. My BDS kit doesnt come with angled blocks and that is my only complaint about the kit. My angle is a little jacked up but its okay for now. I plan to get 8" leafs in the spring.
The only company that I know off the top of my head that has an angled block is Rough Country. I think it is 5.5".

Yea I found those shims too and that is not what my friend was talking about. he was saying that there are 1 or 2 in lift blocks that are tapered for the pinion angle.... I still have not found these blocks that he is talking about. I called the local 4x4 shop here in town and he couldn't find that small of a lift with the taper.... If anyone finds anything plz let me know...

Why so small of blocks? Usually, you would just get the normal 2" blocks or readylift 3" blocks and then the leaf springs would have the angle corrected built in to them.

See right now I have the add-a-leaf on there now with 4in blocks and it is really high in the *** end. I want to take the blocks out and replace them. With the add-a-leaf it gave the truck about 3in of lift and I just wanted to level the truck back out. So a small wedge would do what I wanted it to do.

I see. You got me stumped on these "small wedges". Good luck though man I hope you find what you are looking for!
