Default Phasers/Timing kit replacement

So I know there are a lot of threads on this but I wanted to share my experience and show a few pictures. I dropped off my truck monday night at my mechanics after deciding it was not a job I wanted to tackle myself. The "final repair guide" thread was awesome and I told my mechanic to come onto the site and check it out. Thank you to the op of that thread and everyone that contributed. He just sent me a picture of the broken chain guide which explains the plastic I found when I dropped the oil pan about a month or so back. So what I am guessing is a blown tensioner seal, slack in the chain, broken guides, noisy phasers and everything else that comes with it. I told him to save all the old parts so I could post pictures of them on here when I get my truck back. I cant wait to get it back and I cross my fingers I dont have to hear that damn tick anymore. Here is the broken guide:

I think thats the problem the oil was 10-30. Yea don't you mean 5w-20? with motorcraft oil filter.

It's at about 135,000 right now. It has done it since I bought it at 120,000 but has got worse lately.

Yea I wouldn't run a thicker oil in the 5.4s. I run valvoline full synthetic 5-20 and a motorcraft filter.

It's had 5-20 mobile full sythetic and a motorcraft filter since it had 98k miles when I bought it. I thought I'd try thicker which made it quieter but at this point it's pissing me off enough to just go ahead and jack up the oil psi and make it go so I don't have to deal with it later on.

Edit: I go 10k between oil changes and this last go around had the 10-30 in it.

I know a lot of people say that change it every 5k to 10k is okay. Regardless i think its better to do it every 3k. Or probably im just really **** about the 3k interval but then again i do a lot of city driving..fml & these big motors id say tend to get gunked up fast.

I was driving about 1500 miles a week. I couldn't afford to drop 50 bucks on an oil change twice a month.

I changed it at 126k miles 3 weeks ago and I'm sitting just over 130 now.
