I can second this. Mine just went last friday as I was driving home from work on a rainy day. I paid $112 CAD from a local parts place since I needed the new one right away but if you can wait for shipping you can find this part for around $50 on amazon.

Did it stop working or you just happen to be checking your truck over and saw the module damaged like that?

So, just drop your spare tire and look up to the frame where you will see the FPDM. Many of these just completely deteriorate until the internal electronics are exposed and then short out - leaving you stranded.
The FPDM is aluminum and bolted to the steel frame where electrolosis takes over. The new units have rubber grommets that isolate the steel and aluminum to reduce the potential of failure.
The replacements are available from Amazon for about $60 some and or others for more.
Take your pick of where to get a replacement but just take a look before it bites you in the assss.

With all the reading I have done on here I checked mine and although it was still working it looked pretty bad. Seen pics of much worse but figured id replace it anyhow. $58 off ebay. Dorman pn 590-001.

IMHO - if you can afford it, go fer the Motorcraft unit - Dormans have a history of failure.

good luck
