passenger windows wont go down
hey guys,
i have a 2006 f150 fx4 supercrew.
i noticed the other day that the passengers can not roll there windows down. only the drive side has power to roll them down and up. the lock and unlock still work for passenger side. what could it be. the fuse? is there a fuse for them? or do i just have to buy a new driver side switch?
thanks for reading.

I had this problem today with a Dodge Durango. First verify that the WINDOW LOCK is not active. Cycle it a couple times to make sure its not just stuck (unlikely but possible). You may be able to change the master switch and resolve the issue, or you can bypass the window locks if you don't need them. I would do it temporarally to at least test it and make sure thats the issue. It was for me today with a customers durango.

Purely a guess here but I'd put my money on the lockout switch being faulty. If you have a multi meter, probe into the YELLOW wire with a LIGHT GREEN tracer. When you hit the lockout switch you should see a change in voltage. If you don't you have three options:
1: new drivers switch assembly (ebay a used one is what i would do)
2: Take the switch assembly apart, check the pads and make sure they are clean and corrosion free, re-flow them with soldier if need be.
3: bypass the switch all together, I believe this is done by bridging a 12v source to the yellow wire with green tracer. Thats what I did to the Chrysler today and it worked like a charm. I found the wire under the dash were it came in through the door seal, and bridged it to a 12v acc wire.
