The regulator is the whole assembly including the motor. It would be more work just to replace the motor then it would be to replace the whole regulator. They are made to not come apart.

These ford regulators are a POS, can't imagine a cheap one. Just jumped on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and the back window started sliding down. There is no where to stop on the bridge and the window fell to the bottom. Nice as I was driving back to Charlotte and it was 90 degrees. Had to stop in Norfolk and buy duct tape and take apart the door. Very frustrating.

Believe it or not it is a common problem with our trucks. And yes, it is indeed very frustrating. My escapade was in winter, imaging taking your door apart in 40 degree weather. And I had to do it because the heater was useless otherwise.

new regulator and it came with a motor, fixed this issue
