Default Painting surface rust

I bought my truck and there is surface rust starting to form on both sides on the rear corner of the cab. How would I go about fixing that, sanding it down and priming and painting? Or would it be easier to go and get it done professionally or what would make more sense. I want to get it done before the winter comes

If it's a crew cab they are likely rusting on the inside as well. If your lucky and it's just surface rust, sand to bare metal then prime and paint.

Same thing mine done and it started from the inside of the cab corner. If that's the case with yours your better off to replace the corners rather than patch them.

A product called OSPHO is good for "killing" rust before priming and painting.

Also have a crew that has bubbling corner. You know what the price range is for cab corner repair/restoration? Im guessing they just cut, weld, paint new piece in?

Not sure on a price. I do my own body and paint work. You can find replacement corners on eBay for around $100.

I have similar going on but worse as we speak but I have let it go and now have a small hole going through to the inside of the cab on one side, about a year+ ago I had an estimate done on mine, 1500 but that was also with a new oem front bumper included as well, so obviously it wasn't the full 1500 for the cab corner replacement and it was for both sides. Get on it fast before it advances to where I am currently. IF/when I have it done, it will be much more since the rust has run down the rocker's as well.
