Painting grill surround any hints?

I'm getting ready to color match my chrome grill surround just wondering if anyone has any advice or hints before I tackle it? Thanks in advance

If you are taking out the grill insert before painting just make sure to go slow with the clips because they are pretty fragile and brittle.

Prep it and paint it yourself, but please let an autobody shop clear it for you. If you use rattle can clear it won't last......I know from experience.

I'm doing mine this weekend. I just got a saleen grill for my truck and I'm just going to plasti-dip the chrome surround for now.
