Looks gorgeous! What type of paint are you using? I may need to do the same thing. Hates to see rust on mine.

Rattle can Rust-Oleum. Did it once with SEM didn't hold up. Been going over it with Rust-Oleum and it's holding up great. Even through the winter here in Massachusetts with the liquid calcium they use now.

Really! rattle can Rust-0leum! So, I guess you have hit it every year?
Long time ago I used a rust dissolved product that worked very well, I wish I remember the name. I would use this product before the Rust-Oleum though.

Rustoleum has a rust convertor Walmart sells it in the bondo and engine paint section

Might have been a product called Ospho, turns the rust black and then you paint over it. Great product, used many times.
