Default painted wiper cowl and bed rails

decided to do some painting and fix the ugly sun faded ones. Look like new!

I did this on my truck, sanded, rubbed it with paint thinner, and then coated it a couple of times with camoflouge paint from walmart that somehow matched my bed rails. After some clear coat, it looks great.

a lot better same result as the bed rails. i don't have any pictures but itif u do it make sure to take the whole windshield wiper off including the arm

Raptorman, how hard was it to remove the wiper arm? i am looking to paint my wiper cowl as well as i am tired of all the products that say they will bring it back to black but dont.

Painted my cowl with the black fusion paint too. Looks better than new. I've been fighting that faded thing for 4yrs at least. Answer the question:Wipers came right off, little lever on the side. For the cowl slip flat pliers under the fasteners and pry up. Push the 5 or so clips towards the windshield and it will start to lift. Careful unpluging the spray nozzle's seems the could break real easy.there is one 6or7mm bolt holding the passenger side down. Lift off the weatherstriping, and that's it. I took this forums advice and put a clear coat on too. Also took the nozzle's right out, and put them back when it dried.
