I did mine over Christmas and they turned out amazing, i was going to wet sand them but i'm glad i didn't it would be 10 times better paint job than my trucks body lol. I used my dads wood shop that has a spray booth and we used gravity feed spray gun but spray bomb will do a good job as well. Just make sure you do a good job prepping the caps. I sanded down the plastic with 100 grit than sprayed it with filler primer then sanded it again with 320 (sanded down to black plastic to fill in the plastics dimples). Then put another coat of primer and gave it another rub with 320 grit. then you just add colour and giving the paint a rub with 1000 grit between coats (2-3 coats) than you add you clear coat and sand if needed (minimum of 1000 grit) and do another 2 or 3 coats of clear and enjoy your PTM'd mirror caps. If you use a spray gun you also have to use thinners and hardeners so using spray cans are a lot easier.
