Default paint rubbed away to medal

I bought my 08 in November. The aftermarket bug guard lost a clip and began to vibrate. So, I pulled it off. Now there are a few spots where the bug guard has worn the paint down along the front of the hood to metal in some spots. What can I do to protect the area? Would touch up paint be a good option to try and prevent rust? I'm not concerned about the scratches, but I don't want rust to form and make a bigger problem. Thanks!

The hood is aluminum so rust won't be an issue. Bare aluminum will oxidize however.

The top of my cab had rust spots in which I patched up very well so it makes me wonder why the hood would be made of aluminum.

So I won't need to do anything? It is already kinda that rough texture.

Some say because aluminum is lighter, makes for raising the hood easier. Personally, I never had a problem raising a steel hood...
