Default Paint

My paint is peeling. Don'tknow why. The truck has not been wrecked or repainted. I have noticed alot of our sheriffs dept. cars are peeling too. Is it a problem with the white paint? I remember back in the late 80s early 90s seeing alot of dodges and chevys peeling. Their problem was the primer. Did ford have any primer/paint issues on the 05 year model?
It has one spot on the hood thats peeling. As well as on the roof in the drip rails. The bed is the worst. Now,I do use my bed to haul stuff. But nothing that would remove paint.

I wouldn't think the mile would count in a deal like paint. Then again...

I have heard no issues with any color...are you sure it was never damaged? It sure sounds like poor prep work.

To my knowledge it has never been damaged or repainted. Strange thing, our sheriff dept. cars are doing the same thing too. Same years and everything. Same paint code as well.

Stop by the local sheriff's dept. maintenance shop. I work for a municipal government and a lot of our 98+ crown vics are peeling the paint off. i have not noticed a problem with any other fords in the fleet. It has been awhile since i discussed the problem with the mechanics so i don't remember exactly what it is but i do remember they knew the cause. If you cant stop by there email me and i will ask our guys but it will be next week before i am there again.
