P255/70R17 to LT265/70R17...HELP
Its time to replace the factory tires and as the title says, I'm thinking of switching to a LT265/70R17 in the General Grabber AT2... I was wondering if anyone has any experience with switching to a LT tire from a P rated. Any help would be appreciated........
Will the ride be too stiff and uncomfortable?
Will I notice a difference in mpg?
Are the general grabber AT2's any good?

I can't comment on the General Grabber AT2's. I had P265/70/17 Michelin M/S and they were alright. I needed some good tires but something I can drive in the winter too. I bought Dunlop Radial Rovers RVXT LT265/70/17. I find they are very nice to drive and handle better than my previous tires. I would say they are maybe 5% louder on the highway but that I think has to do with your tread pattern more than anything. When it comes time to buy tires again I won't hesitate to buy LT's. Just rememebr LT's require more air than P rated tires. I am running at 45PSI and they are rated 60PSI.

I run LT285/70-17 Firestone Destination A/T's and love them. Not loud at all and I get pretty good wear from them. Great in the snow! Hardly had to put it in 4wd. Grip well in rain and ice too. Just don't get into it too much unless you like drifting!

Well..here is where it ranks in order with it's peers.

What OEM size did you have? If they are much bigger you will obviously have MPG issues.
