Default P2106 Throttle Actuator Control System-Forced Limited Power?

So i just went fishing and I had to drive down a small hill to get to where I wanted to fish. When i left, I was coming back up the hill and it sounded like I hit something underneath my truck. I got out to look and didnt see anything but when I got back in my truck the wrench light was on (whats this light mean anyway)? I drove back to my dorm (with limited power) and checked it again and still nothing. What exactly does this mean and how can I fix it?

it mans that something is wrong with your engine. the wrench means that your vehicle threw a serious code and should be diagnosed.

thanks. your a life saver. i wouldve never guessed that.

the only thing ive figured out so far is "throttle actuator control system" is just a fancy way of saying "throttle body". i pulled the throttle body off and didnt see any damage. my guess is that its something electrical?

i did wash the engine today and left the motor running while i sprayed it so im wondering if it could just be coincidence the light went off and i hit a stump at the same time. sounds kinda weird but my fuel pump went up in another truck at the same time i washed the motor. maybe i should just leave it dirty.....

UPDATE:
After letting it sit over night, i got up this morning to go to the gym and the code has been cleared. Im not sure if its still on limited power cuz the speed limit was only 30. Has anyone else ever had this problem?

I am having this problem currently and posted a thread about it but I am still having no luck on what it could be. I cleaned my throttle body and intake manifold today too and it still runs on limited power. Gotta be some electrical problem

the wrench does mean that its limited power or limp mode as the manual calls it. did you ever figure this out?
