I have a p2006 code on my 2005 5.4 so I felt behind the intake and it seems that the rod has come detached from the runner valve. Is there a way to fix it without taking the intake manifold off?

If the clip is still in place on the end of the shutter arm then no you do not need to remove it just clip it back in place. I just replaced the controller a few months ago. Pay attention to the wiring behind it if you do remove it. I can have the manifold removed in about 30 mind now lol. You will need to unbolt to alternator and set it aside if you do remove it. It's not a hard job just need to pay attention to wiring routing and if you do remove it take the time to clean the butterflies and some new intake manifold gaskets.
