Default P0430 and gutted cats? Pics inside

Howdy, this is my first post here. Been lurking for a while.

I bought an 04 Fx4 with 130k miles on the clock a while back and had nothing but issues so far...everything has been fixed but one thing.

P0430 code will pop up after driving on the hwy for a while.

So, I finally had time to really look at my exhaust and it looks like a 5yr old got hold of a welder and went to town on my cats lol.

Can anyone confirm that this looks like someone gutted the cats?

We dont have emisions testing where I live so im not too concerned about as long as this doesnt harm the engine?

I`m fairly broke after doing all ball joints, shocks, coils, vct solenoids and all fluids so I`m hoping I can drive the truck like this without causing any damage. Truck runs fine.

Sorry for the blurry pic.

Yeah that's not stock. They are most likely gutted. The cats being gutted won't harm the truck.

P0430 can also be a downstream O2 sensor throwing the code. This cat has been definitely worked on. It looks like some of the welding isn't fully done in spots also. Usually a 430 code is a clogged cat, but the 02 does come into play some times.
