p0420/p0430 obdII error
Hey fellas, first time poster here.I just bought a 06 f150 supercab 4x4 with 73000 miles on it. After I got home and put about 150 of my own miles on it.the check eng.light came on.i went to a-zone to get it checked and p0420&p0430 errors came on.Low emmision threshold on bank 1(p0420)and the same on bank 2(p0430).I've heard it could be the02 sensors, but I don't know why both banks would come on unless it's something happening up in front of both cats?

Welcome to the site!
Based on info from this site:
http://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_cod...old-bank-1.php
and assuming that both codes were thrown at the same time - it recommends checking the coolant temperature sensor or whether the timing is retarded (heheh, that just sounds funny).
Let us know what you find - it's always interesting to file the solutions for future reference.

I hate to ask a question that may or may not be stupid but where is it located and how would you check it? I would guess it would be by the thermostat housing, or in one of the heads?

So you just bought it and it's already throwing codes?? I would say to take it back to the dealership you bought it from and let them fix it under warranty......if it still has a warranty.
