Question P0405 Code

Today I just noticed my truck has the check engine light on for the first time. It is a 2005 F150 4.6L STX with 102k miles. My Edge programmer is reading "P0405 EGR Sensor A Circuit Low".

I just recently had my truck serviced where they replaced the bearings in my rear end. I also had a new EGR Valve installed (due to a rattle noise, which seemed to fix the rattle). The EGR was replaced about 3 weeks ago and the rear end a few days ago. I'm wondering if the EGR is the problem?

Has anyone had this code in the past, or know a possible solution to fix the problem?

By the way, my truck seems to run fine with the code, but I would rather fix the issue than run it and create a larger problem.

I checked the wires and hoses in the area, and each one looks to be connected and in the right spot. Do you think the EGR could be faulty? It was a new EGR from Advance Auto. Like I said the truck seems to run fine, but I hate looking down and seeing the check engine light.

I checked the hoses again, and none seem to be dry rotted or disconnected.

Were you able to find a solution for your code, or do you still have it?

Go back to Advanced and have them read the code and they will give you another EGR ...replacement...see if that works..
