P0401 egr insufficient
My engine light came on Friday on my way home from work. Ran the pocket scanner on it, pulled up code P0401. Something I guess is wrong with my egr valve. After some research on YouTube and Google I learned that it may be blocked up and needs to be cleaned. A replacement is almost 125 dollars. My question is, Should it be replaced or should I take it out and clean it first? Also does anyone know of a video where it can help me with the disassembly of this and clean out? My truck is a 2005 STX 4.6L.

Ive cleaned the egr in my wife Dodge minivan before. Works for a while but now the CEL comes on sporadically.
There was a vid on youtube for it so there should be one for our trucks.
