sounds like a possibility of a crossed wire... Also i had issues with my 4.2 with those cross fire plugs.. it was repaired at a dealer with motocraft plugs... im not a fan of fancy plugs stock is the best!

The reason i was given that the plugs were at fault was a resistance change that the plug was firing WAY too early... revert to OEM double check your plug wires and that may solve your problem (it did mine), good luck

Thanks for the response. Definitely not a crossed wire. I will remove all the plugs again tomorrow and go to motorcraft only because everyone here swears by it. I will also return the BOSCH if I can since they costed be 40 bucks.

I have absolutely no faith that its the band of the plug I am doing this only because you guys swear by it. I will let you know I guess.

Good news, I got it going! It turns out I had cracked two plugs when installing them. I changed out the plugs on the side that I heard the popping sound with motorcraft this morning and two of them came out completely black AND CRACKED. I replaced all three on that side and I am good to go!

When I started her up she ran fine. Now I just need to clear the CEL somehow. Maybe leave the battery unhooked for a while.

Thanks for the help guys.
