P0308 and P0316, Rough Idle, Changed Oil
#11
I had the same issue before with misfire P0308 (cycl #8), P0316 (misfire at startup <1000rpm) and P0175(running rich Bank 2).
I replaced all the COPs and Spark plugs with Motorcraft brand. Cleaned the MAF and throttle body. In the end after a reset, same codes appear. The only thing I can think of is maybe there is a vacuum leak, fuel filter is clogged or bad injectors.
BTW, I do get that ticking sound between 900-1200rpms and then it goes away.

Had a busy day yesterday. Replaced air filter, fuel filter, coil #8, and the fuel pump module.
Seems to be a bit better now with the vibration at idle, but I have a theory after doing some reading.
I believe this has to do with the valve timing due to the cam phasers related to oil pressure. Running 5w-30 this should help resolve this. Im still running the 5w-30 for this trial and see the results of the oil usage

Quick update on this. As a test, I unplugged coil #8 while the truck was running, and it made absolutely no difference. Being that I know the spark plug is good. (problem occured both before and after swap), and the coil is good (because I swapped #5, and #8 coil), this leads me to a fuel injector. Could be plugged, could be stuck open, could be stuck closed. Don't know yet, but I'm taking it to a shop tomorrow to get that fixed. It's a little beyond my comfort zone.
