A few months ago I replaced my VCT solenoids to the updated part. With smaller screens and smaller. Drain port. I didn't have to the old ones were working fine .. upon inspection the screen. Was pushed into solenoid blocking the piston from moving. Therefore was getting. 50 psi of oil. Retarding the phaser . To the point where the phaser is bound. In that position .
