P0012 running retarded on 1 bank. Both VCT solenoids test ok?
So my truck hast started to idle rough. I keep getting code P0012 bank 1 cam timing retarded. I have seen some people fix this code by replacing the VCT solenoids. With the truck not running I applied 12v to each solenoid. I could hear them click. So I did the same thing while the truck was running. On both sides when I applied 12v the truck would start to bog down and finally stall out. It did that on both side so that makes me think the solenoids are working.
Any ideas? Could it be a bad CPS?
