Ozone Generator

Man I know what you mean about the hot and humid days in LA. We had to move a deepfreezer full of seafood in late July. We were not told it had went out 3 days prior. It had been sitting on their porch for 3 days soaking. As we were loading it on hand trucks, the door flew open and I was on the receiving end. Nothing fell out but all I remember is shutting the door, my nose feeling like I snorted pure battery acid, inhaling a drano bomb, and someone poking my eyeballs out with an icepick. Ive worked in EMS for 15 years. Also worked for FEMA picking up the deceased out of houses after Katrina.
To this day, that door opening on that derp freezer was the worst thing I have ever smelled in my life! But guess what. I didnt puke!

Got in the So2Pure today... It was 127 ML. Can't believe I paid 20.00 for 127 ML of snake oil. All it has done is make my interior have a sticky film on it... Not happy. I can't tell a diff in the smell. Still smells of coffee and mint and Clorox and musty humidity and omg I'm so disgusted. Time for ozone I guess

I moved my uncle in law and his sloppy fat cat, the bastard pissed all up in my front seat...I couldn't get rid of the smell for weeks. I used a cup of vinegar on a hot 115 degree day and let it bake in there for a few hours...then aired it out for a couple days. I don't know if it's gone, but I still think I can smell a little whiff on a hot day. I'm pretty sure it's gone. I'm going to sub for the ozone though, I want to see how that works for you.

I work in fire/water damage restoration and the Ozone machine I own would KILL a person if they stayed in the house with it running for 12 hours.
ALL people, pets and plants MUST be removed. BUT ALL OZONE machines are not the same.
The price for a new ozone machine runs $400 - $6,000 so NOT all the same.
If I left my ozone machine running in my Lariat for 8 hours it would ruin the leather.
If you leave it in long enough it will ruin rubber, leather, some plastic and anything organic. SO YES if it is a good machine there is such thing as too long.
You also need some oxygen to go with the 03, so leave 1 window open slightly.
1 hour may not be enough.
I know 1 hour was not enough to kill the dog hair smell in my Lariat.
Let a professional do it, at least they will warranty their work.
fyi my machine--> Output: 12000mghr ozone
"high output shock treatment"

I borrowed a home air purifier from a friend of mine. It is a "Freshair by Ecoquest". I Googled it and from what I can find it said that the purifier actually produces ozone. It also has a UV light. I put that in for 18 hours. My truck DEFINATELY smells better. I actually believe that this may have worked. I will have to wait though for a couple days before I can say for sure if it killed or neutralized the smell as it has always came back. But this morning it was still good. Next week I am going to take it for a 1 or 2 hour 100% ozone treatment if the smell returns.
Can anyone that has used an ozone generator before tell me if it has a smell to it afterwards? Because the purifier I used does have an after smell. It's been out for 2 days and I can still smell a "before rain" scent.
